Removing the Lid

I met Pastor’s Don and Charlene in July 2016. It all began with an unexpected yes. I worked at the check-in counter for our churches children's ministry. From time to time, the director would ask me if I would like to be a teacher. Each time, my answer was no. I worked in the classroom for a living and had my own young kids, so teaching in another classroom was not what I wanted to do. I was approached again by the director in May and she said it was for a 15-week program called; Vertical Leap Children. This time, for some reason, I said yes. I really didn't know what the program was, but I was compelled to say yes. I got the teaching manual and I knew that I needed what I would be teaching the children. The director told me that Pastor’s Don and Charlene Johnson were the B.O.S.S NorCal Regional Directors affiliated with Vertical Leap Children, and that they would be sharing a little bit of the B.O.S.S program with the older kids at the Children's FCMI conference in July 2016. I made a point to be there and watched as Pastor Charlene demonstrated the Entrepreneurs Credo, talked about 3 percenter's, and led the group in the enthusiastic drill. I needed to know more! I introduced myself as the Johnson’s were leaving and as they say the rest is history (in the making!!)

One of the ministries of Real Life International Ministries is A Night to Dream. At the beginning of January 2018, Pastor’s Don and Charlene hosted A Night to Dream Experience in Idyllwild, California. I went expecting and was excited to have my husband join me. A lot of time was spent worshiping and the Holy Spirit was among us. One night as I was worshiping with banners, the power of God knocked me off my feet. My worship banners went one direction and I went the other. While on the floor, I was able to receive instruction, and throughout the rest of the weekend I received more clarity in my purpose. Pastor’s Don on Charlene understand the pressures of jobs and families and how the distractions of life can get us off course, no matter how good our intentions. They know the value of getting away to hear from God, and through their obedience, God was able to show up and connect with all who were at the experience. The participants who went to the 'A Night to Dream Experience' in January of this year were not only being taught, but were also encouraged to lead and use their gifting’s to walk in their purpose.

I describe myself as a pot of boiling water with the lid on and I knew that God had put something in me, but I didn't know how to access my potential. Being connected with Real Life International Ministries, has helped me to identify what was boiling and birthing on the inside. I am connected to people who walk with me and hold me accountable to go through the process of spiritual birthing. Pastor’s Don and Charlene's ministry helps people learn who they are and to become all that God has called them to be. They often say that they wouldn't be doing their jobs if they didn't see people's lives changing and dreams being birthed. I'm happy to say that from my experience, they are right on target! Not only have I been able to identify and have taken steps to execute my purpose, I have seen others in their ministry grow and transform in their purpose as well.

Real Life International Ministries is about transformation of people’s lives and Pastor’s Don and Charlene believe that everyone has a unique gift to serve to humanity. They encourage everyone to learn their purpose, and then to start acting in this purpose, which each individual discovers has been inside them since birth. They give every generation within their ministry the opportunity and encouragement to grow and become, with a belief and hope that everyone can walk in the fullness of their God given purpose. I am thankful for Real Life International Ministries because through them, God has removed my lid!
